Planning the perfect party (P4)

Hey guys, how you doin’?

OK… So I know its been nine days since my last post and I promised I would post every day for 4 days, but I’ve been traveling, going on 14-hour flights and I’m jet-lagged. Anyway if I keep apologizing for what I did I will be procrastinating even more, so let’s all just forgive and forget

(BTW skip the 4 paragraphs below if you have read part 1,2 and 3).

I know it has been a long time since I’ve posted anything, but it’s my summer vacation and I’ve been out having fun, eating, sleeping and binge-watching shows (by the way a good show to binge on is The Good Place). So, to make up for the lack of posts I am making a four part post where I post about planning a party everyday for four days straight.

Throwing a party can be quite stressful and hard. So I have put together a full proof way for your party to be a big hit and for you to be less stressed planning it.

A great party is made up of 4 components, Food, Games, Music, and Decorations. FYI these tips only apply for a planned party, casual parties don’t need planning they just require music, chips, drinks, pizza, chairs, and people. (Fact: This is my favourite type of party to plan and come to).

I have already finished part one on food and part two on games in this series so don’t forget to go check that out.

Decor

Now when I say decor I don’t mean banners and all the most Tumblr type of decorations that’s not me, but you do you boo. What I mean is really just furniture and how to arrange it, but if I said furniture as one of the four components it would sound weird.

Related image

When you’re at a party you want space to move around, have fun and dance. So if you have any extra furniture that you do not need at the party move it outside and vice versa you’re having your party inside.

Next up seating areas. At the beginning and the end of a party, most people like to sit down, so make sure you have ample seating areas ready. You can use anything from stools to chairs, just make sure that your furniture is light in case you want to move it around or out during the party.

Lastly is protection. To avoid stains lay down plastic bags, garbage bags, and plastic tarps to prevent future drinks staining your furniture. You can skip this step if you own leather furniture. And remember always use protection, on your furniture.

So that is part 4 of the four part series on party planning. If you haven’t already I  recommend you read the part 1, 2 and 3. I hoped you enjoyed reading this post and I hope you will like the next one.

Let’s play some music

Whats a party without music? The music is what gives life to a party. Writing about music is very hard because there isn’t much i can tell you except that music is amazing. So, I decided that i will just tell you 4 things you do with music.

Dance

As obvious as it is dancing is so fun and it requires no planning at all.

Dance Battle

I know that a dance battle doesn’t sound realistic but if the people at your party can dance and if their confident them hey maybe it might work.

Karaoke

Who doesn’t like karaoke? It is a great way to get people to learn more about each other.

Musical Chairs

So, yes I know musical chair is childish but don’t judge me it’s fun especially if tyou have competitive people at your party.

Hey guys, how you doin’?

(BTW skip the 4 paragraphs below if you have read part 1).

Let’s play some Games

A fun party always has games. To make sure the people at your party aren’t tiered or overwhelmed by the games, you should plan it so that the games don’t interrupt your guest from having fun, but instead to make them have more fun. (Its sounds confusing but it just means you have to be balanced.). To do this you need the right amount of structure to the games and the right time to play said games. In my opinion 2-3 games is good amount depending on the type of people at your party and the part its self.

Image result for balance tumblr

The first game you could play is an intro game which is a type of game where you get to know each other better. The rest of the games you can play can be a bit more chill like truth or dare etc.

Again depending on your party the games would different or you might not have any. Personally I would see how the people at my party feel and then I` would either play a lot of games, a couple casual games or no games at all.

Planning the Perfect Party (P1)

Part 1 of this four part series will be focusing on the food of your party.

Let’s Talk Food

I don’t know about you, but I live to eat, so I think the food at a party is extremely important. When it comes to food you first want small snacks that people can snack on through the party like chips, mini donuts, cut up fruits, and any thing small on toothpicks or skewers.

Image result for bowls of chips at party

Next up is beverages, drinks keep people full so that aren’t hungry before the food arrives or is ready and drinks keep people refreshed. The simplest way to distribute the beverages is to keep a self serving bar out side, which is just a table with drinks, cups and ice on it.

Image result for drink table party

Now this is an important one the actual meal of the party, whether it’s lunch, dinner or maybe even breakfast, all parties must serve at least one meal. One way to make sure you less stressed is to order in an easy food that every one will like, like pizza.

Image result for pizza at party

Last but certainly not least is dessert. In my opinion dessert is important but others don’t agree. If you agree with my opinion, I think it is a good idea to make the dessert, specially if the snacks, drinks and meals of the party are bought or ordered in. If you aren’t a baker or you don’t think that dessert is important you can always get ice-cream but do serve a dessert, so your guests leave with a sweet taste in their mouth!

Image result for ice cream tumblr

Depending on the type of party your throwing you don’t need all the different types of food and you don’t need to prepare it the same way. Personally I would keep the snacks and drinks the way I said it, but I would probably order pizza cause its cheap and almost everyone likes it and for dessert I would do ice-cream.

So that is part one of the four part series on party planning. I hoped you enjoyed reading this post and I hope you will like the next three. Tomorrows post will be about the games at a party.

7 Tips, Tricks and Hacks for Traveling

`Hey guys, how you doin’?

Now we all know the moment when you reach the airport and you realize you forgot your charger, and then you have to buy a new one, which is extremely expensive. So, to spare you from that tragedy and all other horrible things that happen while travelling, I have curated a list of hacks and tips for travelling.

1. Jet Lag Calculations

I think we can all agree that jet lag is the worst. If you’re going on a long flight to a place, which has a big time difference, then this hack is for you. To make sure that the process of easing in to the new time zone is easier and less tiring always calculate when you have to sleep in the plane, so that when you reach there you will ready be on the sleeping schedule in that place.

 2. Weather and Dress Code

You might think this is common sense but a lot of people forget to check the weather of the country they’re flying to. If you don’t check the weather of your destination you might freeze or burn. It is also very important to research about the dress code of the country you’re flying to, so that you are being respectful.

3. Packing List

It is very important to have a packing list to ensure you don’t forget anything, whether it be a charger, underwear or your passport. You can either curate your own packing list or find one on pinterest. A packing list will make sure you aren’t under packing. Which is bad because you will have to buy new things, and it will make sure you don’t over pack, which is bad because you have to pay a large fee for having over weight luggage.

4. Pack and Roll

Packing space is limited, so effective packing is key. If you didn’t already know rolling your clothes is a great way to save packing space, it is perfect when you are going on a long break and you have many clothes.

5. Clothing capsule

If you are going on a short trip from 1-7 days another hack, which includes rolling your clothes is making rolled up, clothing capsules. These capsules are perfect for business trips, sleepovers or any other quick stop.

Instructions:

1. Lay down your t-shirt flat.

2. Put your folded underwear and pants in the middle of the t-shirt

IMG_5912

3. Fold in the sleeves.

IMG_5913

4. Then lay both of your socks on the top of the t-shirt making sure the closed part of the sock is pointing inwards.

5. Next roll your t-shirt from top to bottom.

6. Lastly take the part of the socks that is hanging out and role them both into the centre.

  1. Dress to impress

If you want to get upgraded to first class, you have to look like you’re in first class. Now even though you need to look posh, professional and sophisticated, you still need to be comfy. So, I have designed the perfect dress to impress outfit

Outfit:

  1. For bottoms some black pants, which are sharp yet still comfortable.
  2. For a top I chose a black blouse, which is sheik yet breathable.
  3. For a jacket I chose a peach blazer, which is professional and warm.
  4. For accessories I chose a gold statement necklace and bracelets as well as a peach hand bag , which is stylish yet useful.
  5. Lastly for the shoes I chose black low heeled boots, which are fancy but easy to walk in.

  1. BRING GUM

In my opinion this is the most important tip in the history of travel tips. Some people would disagree with my opinion but if you told them you could never chew gum again their heart will sink. Now I’m not going to tell you all the things you can do with gum I’m just going to tell you never to forget your gum and if someone asks you for some say no.

Top 10 Things to Do During Summer

Hey guys, how you doin’?

We all know the moment when summer break starts and we’re so excited. But, two days in, we’re all bored out of our minds. So, I’ve created a list of the top ten things to do during summer break.

1. Start a Blog

As simple as it sounds, starting a blog is very intriguing and addictive. In fact, it is so much fun that I started a blog recently and it has been so entertaining, helpful and rewarding.

2. Have a Picnic

Picnics combine two of my favorite things, food and hanging out with my friends outside. All the aspects of picnics are fun. Be it preparing the food, eating the food or hanging out with your friends.

Picnic and hamper beside tree in meadow

3. Beach/Pool Party

We all know how hot is gets during summer, so the perfect thing to do to cool off is to go to the beach or pool. When you go to the beach / pool make sure to bring lots of friends and floaties because everything is more fun with more floaties.

4. Sleepover

Hanging out with your friends, gossiping, staying up late and watching movies, what could be more fun than a sleepover? There is so much to be do in a sleepover. In fact, I could make a post only about sleep over activities! So please like this post and comment “make sleepover post”.

Image result for sleepover

5. Start a bullet journal

Starting a bullet journal is a lot like starting a blog because it helps better your life by making you more organised. A bullet journal will make sure you’re organised so that when school or work starts you won’t hand in a project late. Like and comment if you would like bullet journaling hacks.

6. Go to the mall

Going to the mall is so much fun. I don’t think I need to explain why you should go to the mall with your friends. If you need me to tell you why you should go to the mall with your friends or if you don’t like shopping, then going to the mall is probably not for you.

Image result for going to to the mall

7. Go to an escape room

An escape room is a really fun experience which helps develop communication skills between a group of people. If you don’t already know what an escape room is, it is a physical adventure in game in which players solve a series of puzzles and riddles in a room using clues, hints, and strategy to escape a series of rooms in a certain time limit.

9. Travel

Traveling is very important because it helps you learn about other cultures and it also helps you understand the world around you. I know traveling to international destinations is not a practical or possible thing for some people, but even just exploring places you’ve never been to in the city you live in is great for learning about your own culture.

Image result for travel

10. Make a slip and slide

What is summer without fun and games… It’s a boring summer. So, to make your summer more fun, try making a slip and slide.

Materials:

  • Plastic tarp.
  • Dish soap.
  • Water.
  • A slope.
  • Pool floaties (which are optional but make the experience more fun).

Instructions:

  1. Lay out the tarp onto the slope.
  2. Cover the tarp with soap and water.
  3. Slide down the slip and slide with or with out a floaty.

Image result for diy 'slip and slide

No matter what you’re going to do this summer, make sure to have fun because the whole purpose of summer break is to have fun and create memories with friends, through traveling and through experiences. More than anything, make sure to make up for any lack of sleep that you might have encountered throughout the year.

Ciao (that means bye in Italian).
